FINALLY. There’s a new video out on my channel… the first game video in a looooong while.
However, it’s NOT the 02 hundred Hours video I promised you folks.
Why not, after all the tease? you may ask, and rightfully so.
I think I’ve mentioned that I’m using new equipment and since the 02 Hundred Hours game was the first I shot using the new gear, well… let’s just say errors were made.
They aren’t showstoppers by any means. The video is still usable. But the problems are show-delayers. It’s taking me more time to edit the video than I’d like.
So to keep to my promise of doing a video a month starting in March, I rushed this one out. With more experience under my belt, I now know where I went wrong and what I did wrong so this one went relatively smoothly.
Relatively.
I still made errors (different errors compared to 02 Hundred hours but still errors) however these ones were much faster to resolve after some trial and (heh) error. Also because I had fewer files to work with.
Also, why did I choose Sedition Wars, a board game?
I think many of you will know I consider this a tabletop skirmish game in the guise of a board game.
- You need to assemble the minis
- You can build your own forces to a set number of points
- You can create your own scenarios (with very little info on how to do that, mind you but you can.)
- It has all the hall marks of a skirmish game with Line of Sight and tabletop skirmish attack rules.
Also, there was a request from some folks over at the Sedition Wars page on BGG asking: how the HECK do you play the game?
Me, I blame it on the silly developers and designers wanting to be clever and using non-standard terms for what is essentially very standard skirmish game conventions.
Vector for Line of Sight is the major grumble I have.
Anyway, the long and short of it is: it’s out on YouTube now. Today (wherever in the world you may be.) It’s only part1: the setup, but everything is set for turn 1.
Let me know what you think.
