An old favourite makes it back at #06: CROM.
This game is always a lot of fun and I took it out again in honour of me printing out a ton of dungeon walls to use in RPGs and skirmish games.
What can I say about it that I haven't already said in a previous top 10 list?
The freeform way in which activation and dice are used is tops. Go all out and attack... or hold some back in reserve for defence? That's always the tough choice you need to make.
The other thing is this requires a lot of home brewing and crafting of cards (as seen in the photo below) but after you get that done, the game is a lot of fun and again, extremely tough on the heroes. You THINK you have a lot of HP... but once you lose some HP... it all goes downhill pretty quickly.
The key to victory? Don't charge in like a maniac even if you have 12 dice to play with and the foes only have 4.
